Photo A Day – July 29th through July 31st

July Photo A Day Success!

That’s right folks.  Today is already the last day of July.  And with only one fail for the month, I think I did pretty darn good.

I hope you join me for my August Photo A Day Challenge.  If you want to link your posted pictures to this blog, drop me a comment and I will add a new PAGE to this blog with your link.

July 29: Last Thing You Bought

Vacation Souvenirs: 2 necklaces, a sweatshirt and some salt water taffy.

July 30: Calm

Finally bedtime.  The calmest moment of my day.

July 31: Toothbrush

Didn’t seem right to take a picture of my used toothbrush.

Photo A Day – July 21st through July 28th

Here is a short preview of our family vacation this week.  Although I have roughly 100 blog post ideas, I’ll try to scale it back and not overwhelm you with all 700+ photos taken this past week.

July 21: 9 o’clock

9 o’clock in the morning and all packed.

July 22: Upside Down

An upside down inflatable kayak sitting alone on the dock.

July 23: Mirror

Woke up to this outside my window.  The water was perfectly still and as reflective as a mirror.

July 24: A Stranger

The awkwardness of photographing a stranger…without them knowing.

July 25: Heart

The heart of Seattle…the Pikes Place Market.

July 26: Sunshine

Another beautiful sunrise on the Puget Sound.  Who says the sun never comes out here?

July 27: On the Road

The road that lead to our Captains Cabin for the week.

July 28: Cup

An all too important cup of Joe to handle two cranky kids on the last day of vacation.

Photo A Day – July 16th through July 20th

July 16: Sign

This was found on the side of a very large cardboard box in the office kitchen today. I suppose it’s a sign that means “Don’t walk on this box.” I thought it was funny.  [Sorry, I didn’t realize how blurry this picture was until it was super-sized on the screen.]

July 17: Your Addiction

Oh so many addictions to choose from…but I would have to say one of them has to be my York Pieces.  Dark chocolate and a refreshing mint taste are the perfect summer treat combination.  Good to keep in the desk drawer or hidden in the cabinet.

July 18: Plate

I went the anti-plate route today.  Like anti-pasta.  Oddly enough, I ate from a bowl for all meals: oatmeal, Sunday Salad, and cereal.  The Peanut Butter Mocha Madness was my post-workout treat to myself.

July 19: Animal/Insect/Pet

Our resident little bunny foo foo who’s eating holes in my grass.

July 20: Eyes

Eyes of innocence.

Photo A Day – July 9th through July 15th

July 9: Big

This little dance bag represents BIG money…or BIG dreams, depending on who you ask.  Ironically, this was the last time this bag was packed since it needed to be replaced with a bigger bag to accommodate the growing dance apparel needed.

July 10: Your Favourite Colour

Okay, first of all, I spell it “Favorite” and “Color”.  I’ll assume that Fat Mum Slim is from England and that’s the English version.  If it’s good enough for the Queen, it’s good enough for me.   Secondly, I don’t have a single favorite color.  But I was keenly aware of the lush green tree with a beautiful blue sky as a backdrop.  It was one of the best views of the day.

July 11: Letter

I wasn’t sure  what direction I was going to take “letter.”  But then, I had this elusive cup sitting in front of me.  No other letters appeared but TM.

July 12: Texture

Wicker balls found in my family room.  I bought these years ago with the intent of adding some nice texture to the red bamboo bowl I had set on the sofa table.

July 13: Open

While at Floyd’s Barbershop, I saw this open drawer.  There was something about the colors of the bumper stickers against the smooth metal that really caught my eye.

July 14: Building

FAIL.  Photo Cred goes to The Banker for this picture.  We are building a golfer.

July 14: Finger

My daughter and I flash “I love you” to each from across the room, in the car, or while leaving school.  It was the first thing I thought of when I saw finger.  Okay…the second thing.

Photo A Day – July 1st through July 8th

July 1 – Self Portrait

This picture actually was taken on July 1st, before I knew about the challenge! My son and I enjoying some time together in the bounce house.

July 2 – Busy

Our mama humming bird busy protecting her babies from the freak with the camera who keeps getting a little too close.

July 3 – Best Part of Your DayNow this might not look that exciting to you, but it was my first successful cut using my new Cricut Expression.  And it was the best part of my day.

July 4 – Fun

I treated myself to a mani-pedi on the Forth of July and opted for “fun” toes.  (And I promise my feet are clean, it’s just the look of the photo.)

July 5 – On The Floor

I packed 5 pairs of shoes for my 4 day weekend get-a-way.  This is what they looked like on the hotel floor.  Also why I needed fun toes.

July 6 – Chair

Nothing like a relaxing pool chair to bear the Tucson heat.  Ahhhh…..

July 7 – Garden

Cactus Garden.  It definitely has a strange beauty about it.

July 8 – Lunch

My first experience with In-N-Out.  I basically savored the first bite while taking this photo and inhaled the rest.  Delish!
